Astha Gill is a Human Factors specialist, aviation expert, educator, and author who works at the intersection of human behavior, safety, and learning. With over 25 years of experience across aviation operations, regulation, investigation, and education, her work focuses on emotional safety, decision-making under pressure, and building meaningful human connections within high-stakes systems.

Her aviation career spans multiple critical roles: from operational experience as Cabin crew Trainer , to regulatory oversight as a Cabin Safety Inspector with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India, and later as the only Cabin Safety Investigator–Subject Matter Expert with the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB). This rare combination of operational, regulatory, and investigative exposure gives her a deeply grounded, real-world understanding of human performance, safety culture, and system behaviour.

For over a decade, Astha has also been a Trainer of Trainers and Teacher Educator, designing and delivering programmes that translate aviation Human Factors into classrooms, institutions, and professional environments. She has mentored candidates across diverse domains including aviation, banking, teaching, engineering, chartered accountancy, and higher education, helping them develop the behavioural skills, emotional intelligence, and professional readiness needed to thrive in real workplaces.

Astha is the author of Student–Teacher Meet (STM) and Blame It on the Hormones, where she blends science, psychology, lived experience, and storytelling to make complex aspects of human behaviour accessible, relatable, and deeply human. Her writing challenges systems to look beyond procedures and performance, and instead understand the people within them.

Her contributions have been recognised with the Dr. Sarojini Naidu International Award, the Best Author Award by The Times of India, and invitations to share her work across national and international platforms. She is a TEDx speaker and has been featured on radio and media channels for her interdisciplinary work spanning aviation safety, education reform, and human development.

Through her conversations and sessions, Astha mentors teachers, students, professionals, and lifelong learners on leadership, learning, emotional intelligence, and human dignity. Her engagements are reflective, practical, and insight-driven , designed for those seeking clarity, purpose, and perspective rather than quick answers.
