Born into a rich musical legacy to Smt. Tulsi and Shri Santu Vaswani — a celebrated singer of Sindhi Sufi music — Ghansham’s musical journey began at home. Though academically accomplished, his heart chose music as his true calling.

His foundation in classical music was shaped under the guidance of distinguished gurus including Ustad Aaftab Ahmed Khan, Pt. Ajay Pohankar, Dr. Sushila Pohankar, and Pt. Rajaram Shukla. The blessings and mentorship of Shri Jagjit Singh further refined his artistry, giving his music depth, grace, and emotional resonance.

A Top Grade Artist of Doordarshan and Akashvani (AIR), Ghansham ji performs regularly across India and internationally. He has graced prestigious radio concerts and television programs including Living Legends, Mehfil, Sugam Sangeet, Aarohi, Tarana, Sham-e-Ghazal, Madhurima, and Ghazal Ke Saaye.

His versatile career spans:

• Playback singing for acclaimed films such as Ankush (“Itni Shakti Hamein Dena”), Katha, Satwaan Aasmaan, and Hum Saath Saath Hain
